Modern Art Deserves a Modern Treat 🎹

Some places inspire creativity. Others preserve it... and then there are institutions like the Honolulu Museum of Art — where art, education, architecture, and community converge in the heart of Honolulu.

We’re proud to share that Pop Culture Artisan Pops are now available at HoMA CafĂ© and the Coffee Bar in the Palm Courtyard.

Because after 5,000 years of art history
modern art deserves a modern treat.

Since opening its doors in 1927, HoMA has served as a gathering place for Hawai‘i’s diverse community — presenting global art, innovative exhibitions, film, and studio education in two iconic buildings on Beretania Street.

Founder Anna Rice Cooke envisioned a museum where people of many cultures could connect through creativity. Nearly a century later, that spirit of inclusivity, innovation, and accessibility continues to shape the museum’s mission.

Pop Culture shares that same belief: creativity belongs to the community.

We create small-batch frozen pops in our Waimānalo kitchen using thoughtfully sourced ingredients — always highlighting at least one local element in every flavor. Each pop is crafted with intention, balance, and a sense of place.

Art on the walls.
Craft treat in your hands.

The HoMA CafĂ© offers casual, contemporary cuisine in an open-air setting committed to sustainability as a designated ocean-friendly restaurant. Just steps away, the Coffee Bar in the Palm Courtyard serves coffee, tea, wine, and grab-and-go items — now including Pop Culture Artisan Pops.

Picture this... You move through galleries filled with Asian textiles, European paintings, contemporary installations, and works that span continents and centuries. You pause in the courtyard beneath swaying palms. Light shifts across historic architecture influenced by Hawaiian, Chinese, and Spanish design. In your hand — a handcrafted frozen pop, vibrant in color, layered in flavor, rooted in Hawai‘i.

HoMA embraces excellence, innovation, and sustainability in its approach to serving and inspiring the community for generations to come. That commitment resonates deeply with us.

- We prioritize local sourcing whenever possible.

- We collaborate with Hawai‘i producers and small businesses.

- We design flavors that reflect culture, seasonality, and creativity.

This partnership isn’t just about offering a refreshing treat — it’s about contributing to a cultural space that uplifts our community.

Whether you’re visiting for a new exhibition, catching a film, taking a studio art class, or simply enjoying the courtyard atmosphere, you can now add a Pop Culture Artisan Pop to your HoMA experience.
