This past Saturday, we packed up the freezer, loaded our favorite flavors, and joined the ono lineup of local makers, chefs, and foodies at Frolic’s 2025 Poke Fest at Ka Makana Ali‘i—and what a night it was! ✨
Presented by American Savings Bank, this epic food fest brought out the best in Hawai‘i’s poke scene, with 12 vendors going head-to-head in the ultimate flavor showdown. And while the savory creations battled it out for the crown, we were stoked to bring the chill with a lineup of refreshing frozen pops perfect for cooling down between bites.
Meet the 2025 Kings of Poke Fest 👑
🥇 1st Place: HanaPa‘a Market – Garlic Poke Toast with shoyu aioli, pickled + crispy garlic, and parmesan buttered crostini
🥈 2nd Place: Ali‘i Fish Market – Charred watercress nairagi poke with chile ʻōpae, limu, and sesame
🥉 3rd Place: Local Poke Bowl – Torched spicy truffle scallop with fried garlic and pork rind crumble
