Cookie Boss: Inside the Girl Scouts / Pop Culture Collab That’s Shaping Young Entrepreneurs

Mar 19, 2026

There’s a moment every parent recognizes.

It’s when a young girl steps forward—maybe a little nervous, maybe rehearsed—and delivers her pitch. Not just “Do you want to buy cookies?” but something more thoughtful. A reason. A goal. A sense of ownership.

That moment is what Girl Scouts call becoming a "Cookie Boss".

The Cookie Boss badge is a Girl Scouts leadership and entrepreneurship milestone designed to teach girls how to take full ownership of their cookie business from start to finish. To earn it, Girl Scouts move through a structured, real-world process that mirrors how businesses operate: they take the lead in planning their cookie season, set SMART goals tied to budgets and outcomes, collaborate with their troop to make key business decisions, develop and deliver a compelling sales pitch, and actively work to expand their customer base. Along the way, they gain hands-on experience in marketing, teamwork, financial thinking, and communication—building the confidence and practical skills needed to lead with purpose and achieve measurable results.

In collaboration with Girl Scouts of Hawaii and Troop 5744, Pop Culture Artisan Pops is introducing the Cookie Boss pop—a limited-edition Thin Mints-inspired frozen pop made with real Girl Scout Cookies, cream, condensed milk, and local honey. It’s rich, nostalgic, and instantly recognizable. But more importantly, it represents something bigger than flavor. It represents how young girls learn to lead.

The Cookie Boss badge isn’t symbolic—it’s structured. Girls aren’t just selling cookies; they’re running a business. They learn how to take ownership, set SMART goals, make team decisions, craft a pitch, and grow their customer base.

This isn’t about memorizing a script. It’s about understanding how to set a goal and work backwards. It’s about figuring out what customers want, how to communicate value, and how to adjust when something doesn’t work. It’s about learning that leadership isn’t loud—it’s practiced. That’s exactly what makes this collaboration meaningful, and we were thrilled to work with them on this delicious new drop.

The Cookie Boss pop isn’t just inspired by Thin Mints. It’s inspired by the process behind them. The planning that happens before the booth opens. The teamwork behind every decision. The confidence it takes to make a pitch and stand behind it.

In many ways, this pop is the result of the same thinking the Cookie Boss program teaches. Start with an idea. Understand your audience. Build something people genuinely want. Then bring it to life.

This Saturday at the Kakaʻako Farmers Market, the Cookie Boss pop officially makes its debut. Drop by our booth to get yours and help us celebrate the families and young entrepreneurs that made this first-of-its-kind pop flavor possible. Don't wait, this collab is available only in limited quantities while supplies last!
