Pop Culture Artisan Pops is proud to support Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s annual Food Drive Day, a statewide movement that brings businesses, organizations and neighbors together around one shared kuleana: helping ensure that families across Hawaiʻi have access to the food they need.
From August 22 through August 29, 2026, the community is invited to bring shelf-stable food donations to participating locations across Oʻahu. For Pop Culture, the celebration hits especially close to home at Hawaiian Telcom at Ka Makana Aliʻi, where the first 100 people to make a qualifying donation will receive a free Pop Culture artisan pop, while supplies last.
It’s a simple gesture of mahalo for showing up for our community—and a reminder that meaningful change often begins with many people doing something small together.
Food Drive Day has long served as Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s flagship community giving event, bringing together food and monetary donations to support people experiencing hunger throughout the islands. This year, the organization is expanding that tradition into a weeklong opportunity to give, culminating on Saturday, August 29, with Food Drive Day celebrations at Ka Makana Aliʻi, Pearlridge Center and Ala Moana Center.
A Shared Kuleana At the heart of the campaign is a message that resonates deeply with us: Hawaiʻi Foodbank is for everyone.
Food insecurity can touch families and individuals from every part of our community, regardless of age, background or circumstance. Addressing it requires more than the work of a single organization. It takes a network of local partners, businesses, volunteers, donors and everyday residents willing to contribute what they can.
That spirit of collective responsibility is one of the things we love most about calling Hawaiʻi home.
As a locally made brand, Pop Culture has always believed that food is about more than what we eat. It connects us to farmers and makers, to neighborhoods and traditions, and most importantly, to one another. Supporting Hawaiʻi Foodbank is another way we can use something as simple as an artisan pop to celebrate the people who choose to give back.
On August 29, Hawaiʻi Foodbank will bring that collective energy together at Oʻahu’s three major shopping centers with live entertainment, giveaways and opportunities to learn more about the organization’s work. But you don’t have to wait until Food Drive Day itself to make an impact. Donations of shelf-stable food will be accepted at participating locations beginning August 22, including the Hawaiian Telcom store at Ka Makana Aliʻi.
