Thursday evenings at Wai Kai already feel like a mini vacation, and next week they are getting a full holiday upgrade. On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Ono Grindz & Mākeke Farmers Market is turning into a festive waterfront celebration with Santa, family activities, local shopping, and plenty of delicious food. If you are looking for an easy, feel good way to get into the season, this is it.
You will find a farmers market packed with local vendors and food trucks, plus festive extras for the whole crew. There will be pictures with Santa, face painting, and a Candy Cane Craft Walk on the Surf Side Lawn for $15 per person. If you want something extra memorable, hop on the Christmas Cruise on the Wai Kai Lagoon for $5 per person. Each cruise includes free Christmas cookies, with up to 10 people per ride. Cruise times are 4:00 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:00 PM, and 5:30 PM.
We will have Pop Culture Artisan Pops available at Wai Kai, so you can cool off with a fresh pop between stops. Whether you are cruising the lagoon, walking the market, or taking photos with Santa, a pop in hand makes the whole night feel even more like a holiday treat.
If you have not been yet, Wai Kai hosts a weekly Thursday farmers market in partnership with Ono Grindz & Mākeke. It is a great place to pick up fresh island produce, locally made goods, and ono grinds from food trucks, all while supporting small businesses in our community.
